One way to make the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure. Made no plans to travel, so we escape the ordinarily boring weekend to the most touristy part of Singapore – Sentosa! They are right about Sentosa being the state of fun, but only if you do something that scares you because well, it may be a good thing after all.

Had a fun-filled day at Mega Adventure, conquering the 15-meters high rope obstacles, and zipping across the beach at 60kph top speed, strapped on nothing but just the harness that connects to the 3 wire zip line. Plenty of core work required to balance and stabilise yourself on the suspension bridges and swings. Not to worry though, you will not fall because the harness is securely fasten. If you feel tired at any minute, you may take a breather mid-way on the platforms. There is absolutely no hurry to complete the course unless you are obviously hogging the traffic. People behind you will not be able to overtake because it runs like a factory line. Luckily it wasn’t too crowded when we were there.

I would rate this highly challenging for women aged 30 and above, especially if you fear heights and not exactly active. I wasn’t as terrified when I went through the same obstacle four years back. I guess age plays a huge part in the amassment of thanatophobia (fear of dying). The experience was exhilarating regardless, thrilled to spend a day like this with good company. Remember to slap on a good amount of sunscreen and hydrate yourself if you decide to give this a try.

Watch the clip below to see how I hung on for dear life. Pardon the shaky video, we will do better next time! Thanks for watching!
